...ok this is a big one... I personally am tired of seeing lutes as the "battle-instrument of choice" when drums, horns, or even flutes would probably be more practical. I also can't help but feel frustrated when I see minstrels using songs and ballads without lutes capable of just summoning them out of thin air -- loremasters can't use ANY of their abilities without a staff, but all minstrels can play ballads without lutes.

More importantly, however, I think this is a big deal -- more instruments would make the game a lot richer, even if the songs were'nt as numerous.
